Dancing with the Stars Winners Lucky in Love?

 

For much of this season on “Dancing With the Stars,” there has been speculation over possible behind-the-scenes hanky-panky between speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno and professional dancer Julianne Hough.

Aside from Hough, 18, calling off her August wedding with fiance, Zack Wilson, 25, nobody has uncovered any actual proof. And Hough and Ohno have denied consistently it.

Deborah Starr Seibel of TVGuide.com interviewed Wilson, a pre-dental student at BYU, who just got back from “a month in China, where he had been part of a performing-arts group from the university.”

Anyway, here’s an excerpt from the interview:

“I’ve heard a lot about that,” Wilson said in reference to Hough and Ohno’s chemistry on the dance floor.

“Because I’m a dancer I know what performing takes,” he says. “I’ve been involved in ballroom a lot, so I know there has to be chemistry when you dance together. It doesn’t mean that there’s any romance going on. And I know personally that there’s not, because I’ve been with them in rehearsals and I’ve gotten to know Apolo really well. He’s a really nice guy. So it doesn’t bother me. … . If I didn’t know her and I was watching the show, I would think that they were in love,” he says. “But I do know her and they’re not. They’re just good friends.”
